Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch...

For mother's day this year, my hubby and three of his buddies planned a girls only getaway for some super lucky mommas! While we were away for a whole two days, the menfolk tended to the kiddos. I thought it would be fun to share what was going on while the ladies made our great escape!

While we were off being baby-free, the guys held down the fort! On Saturday night when the ladies were enjoying a relaxing dinner out, my hubby invited the whole crew over to grill some burgers and let the kids play. Safety in numbers, right?

I can't even describe how great it was to take a breather from the kids, knowing that the daddies had it all under control. They updated us with cute videos and pictures of the action back at home the entire time we were away.

If you want to see what the girls were up to, take a peek at Lindsey's Girls Baby-Free Weekend post!

Where is your favorite kid-free vacation spot?

I LOVE that your husbands did this for you guys!! Think they can call up my husband and "help" him come up with the same idea? ;)

LOL! I wish that would work! My husband is very thoughtful, but this is something he'd never think of (or even be hinted to). I'll just have to come out and ask him to do it. Which isn't all bad- the outcome is still the same! :)

  4. It's so awesome that they updated you during the trip. Total dad-type kid watching – tv and hanging :) I don't know if we have a fave kid-free spot as we're rarely kid-free :P

  19. Daddies are very capable and it's nice that you got away for a few days. I've never been anywhere kids free really on a vacation. I'd like to think anywhere with sand, warm weather, and tropical drinks.

  38. It is indeed. When I go out of town I put out all the kids' clothes. I'm a bit of a control freak and giving up control drives me crazy, but we all deserve a little time away to unwind.

I think it's great that they send pics and videos so you'd know what was going on at home and could totally relax. When my kids were at home, I never took a vacation without them so I have no fave spots. I didn't really do it on purpose...it just never happened!

  48. Looks like they had it under control and now you can go away on a regular basis!
