A little over a week ago, my best friend's baby, Asher, turned one. Instead of serving cake, Jessie served panna cotta with fresh berries on top. I had never tried panna cotta before and to say that I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement! Jessie was awarded bonus hostess points for offering both a meal and dessert that were gluten-free!
Panna cotta is an Italian dessert that is traditionally made by simmering cream, milk, and sugar together with gelatin and then chilled until it sets. For those of you who have not had the chance to try panna cotta- you have really missed out. Since there is no time like the present, gather the ingredients and give it a try!
This simple dessert calls for 6 ingredients and it only takes about 10 minutes to prepare!
We loved it so much, we made it to share with friends today!
To make the clean up process easier, we used plastic punch cups.
Plus, they fit in a muffin tin which makes transferring them to the fridge super easy! |
Here are your two favorite food critics weighing in!
No time for the thumbs up right now... |
"May I have more? Puh-lease!" |
As cute as it was, I couldn't end this post on empty bowl picture! |
A huge thank you to Jessie for allowing us to share her much creamier version of Panna Cotta!
