Throwback Thursday: M and her Best Friend

It is rare that you are blessed with a life long friend on the day you are born. My daughter has such a friend. M and T were actually delivered 7 hours apart by the same midwife! I met "T's" mommy at a birthing class and we have remained friends as our families grew to include 5 kids between the two of us! Five and a half years later, I adore this little boy for his silly anecdotes and his unwavering love of my daughter. If you ask either one of them about their future together- they will both tell you they plan to get married!

When M started school, the transition was terrible. At that time we did not know that Madison had Asperger's Syndrome (AS) and we were at a loss for how to get her to participate in the school's activities. Fortunately, T was in the same class. According to their teachers, he never left her side.

The following year, they went to different schools and have still remained best buddies. We are excited to get the kiddos together more often over the summer!

I can't wait to watch them both grow up and maybe even get married:)

  42. That is an adorable story! I had a girlfriend growing up that was 3 weeks to the day apart. We were inseparable as children, but then I moved away. We still speak. There is an odd bond there that can never be broken.
