Business first, I was not compensated in anyway to write this post. I am truly a fan of Mirko Pasta. Any nutritional questions should be forwarded to Mirko Pasta directly.
This past weekend, M and I were invited to lunch at Mirko Pasta in East Cobb. Mirko has been one of our family's favorite spots for quite some time now- I actually celebrated my 30th birthday there!
Since M went gluten-free, I have had to pack her food before leaving to go out to eat. Finding gluten-free kid friendly meals when dining out is always a struggle. I knew that Mirko Pasta makes their own fresh pasta and sauces, so I called ahead to see if they had any GF options. The gentleman that answered the phone informed me that not only do they have GF capellini and gnocchi, all of their delicious sauces are gluten-free as well!
M with ner Nonni at Mirko Pasta in Marietta- still working on that pesky eye contact thing!
M had been to Mirko before and had always been a big fan of the bread and bean dip that they bring to the table when you sit down. I could not deny the child her bean dip appetizer. Instead, we brought our own gluten-free crackers to dip in lieu of the bread.
M making a silly face for the camera with her favorite GF crackers
Mirko's menu is amazingly flexible. According to the manager, 90% of their meals can be adjusted to be either gluten-free or vegan! On a side note- their pesto sauce is to die for. Seriously, I would eat it straight up if the ravioli wasn't equally as amazing.
All of the portions at Mirko are huge. Madison took home leftovers from her kiddie portion and made two additional meals out of it. The meals are reasonably priced and you get more than your money's worth, not to mention they offer complimentary bread and bean dip.
M ordered the "capellini with pink sauce"
It was hard to get M to give me the "GF thumbs up" because she was so focus on her meal.
Not to worry, the awesomeness that is Mirko is available in several states.
Go here to see if there is a location near you.
M had such a great experience that we wanted to offer you a meal at Mirko!
